I've been online since the late 80s (thanks, older brother), and I can genuinely say, in those 30 or so years, I have never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever (ever) wanted a video to autoplay. Ever.

Autoplay, especially on embedded videos on "news" sites is awful and ruins experience. It works best when you're watching a video and seamlessly runs the next video on the playlist.
