It is ridiculous that any number of men high enough to register as a percentage are afraid to be alone with female colleagues for any reason. It is also ridiculous that the tweet that started this thread, from a mainstream news source we should be able to trust, is so wrong.

a HA! I found the 60% number. When they break it out by manager/non manager, that 46% who chose "none of the above" becomes 39%, leaving ~60% who chose at least one of the above options:pic.twitter.com/3Ke88cLnqr

which means, yes 60% of male managers did indeed cite one of the actions. But we are still left with 13% who said they were uncomfortable with mentoring women.

Final note in this convoluted thread: this survey had a lot of good data about an important and complicated subject. The subject deserved better than an incorrect tweet (and headline) designed to overstate and outrage.
