This is not what that survey says:pic.twitter.com/GwT6e5Jllm

The actual percentage of men, according to that survey, who said they were uncomfortable mentoring women? 13%. (which, again, IS STILL RIDICULOUS but 13 is not the same as 60)pic.twitter.com/lPrEeF0QKQ
From what I can tell, men were given these options to choose from, and told to select all the options that applied to them. The number that got the highest (aside from none) was socializing alone outside work at a restaurant or hotel. That number was 40%.pic.twitter.com/c8uNqU1kwr
We don't know which men chose multiple options. We don't know if the same men who picked "i will not drink with a colleague alone outside work" also picked "I will not mentor a woman," though sure we can make some assumptions.
that 60% of men are against *all workplace interaction with a woman* is even worse than just mentoring.
i don't even think that is a fair assumption to make from this study.
rethreading here to relink, having deleted an aside:https://twitter.com/mccanner/status/1137883910350737408 …
Men have been put on notice that there is a zero tolerance policy for comments that could be construed as sexual harassment. Regardless of intent. Men are increasingly careful, filtering, thinking twice about the impact of their speech/actions. This is mostly a good thing.
