My take on the "results": Millennials don't care about excessive numbers of ever more niche and minor variations on basic utensils. Any generic eating knife is fine for spreading butter.
I cook frequently, and quite well if I may say so myself. I also know what a butter knife is thanks to inheriting some. If NowThis knows what a butter knife is, they should know that in proper etiquette (however one defines that), a butter knife is for serving, not cooking. Duh.
Being accused of being terrible, useless or wrong, only to be almost immediately vindicated or have the accusation get corrected, is just about the most Millennial thing ever.
The obsession with having the correct cutlery is so deeply bourgeois. It’s Mrs. Bucket in her bungalow trying to pretend she’s descended from aristocrats. Nothing to do with culinary aptitude or skill, or good manners for that matter.
Welp, I'm 0-2. Litterally set the kitchen on fire at my parents house. Also, burned the Thanksgiving Turkey in 08'. I'm pretty bomb at
cricothyrotomies, DOS, crisis intervention and I can slay a whiskey neat. #Millennials
Yep.
Also, it might be an indication that butter is less popular these days in favor of healthier oils or cuisine that doesn’t use butter. It could also indicate that millennials are not using formal dinnerware or sitting down to eat dinner.
