What kind of twisted monster would EVER have these turned on for anything? MAYBE if every notification deposited $5 in my bank account, but even then I don't know...

They just implemented it for Outlook on the web, so I have it turned on, since I use the browser version for dogfooding reasons as most of our users don’t have the desktop client.
