I'd never forget the day my 2 year old's preschool sent home a notice that they were doing lockdown drills that day. They told the kids it was quiet time and that they couldn't make a sound. Heartbreaking.

My 3 year old has stranger on campus drills where they have to lock the doors hide under their cubbies and be quiet with the lights out.. they can never open the door for anyone or go near it
