If I am clicking on an article that says "this plot point may have just confirmed a fan theory" I think it's safe to say that I am looking for spoilers and won't be mad if you skip the warning

Are websites under the impression that people who prefer to remain spoiler-free are wandering willy nilly around the internet accidentally clicking on articles that clearly contain plot points and if not why are you putting spoiler warnings on news articles
