I admire how the majority of Germans seem to be willing to confront their ancester's past deeds.
i'm intrigued that it seems to be happening when those ancestors are truly "ancestors" vs "relatives."

Still within family memory although I'm probably the last generation with first person told stories. My grandparents told me stories about being in DC during WWII when I moved here. If I had kids in my 20s I could be passing those stories on to their kids.
