Recently, I donated half-a-dozen never-used earbuds I got from various places. For a second, debated just carrying them with me and handing them out to people playing their music loudly on the train. But also didn't want to get killed. So I donated them.
While I'm sad you won't have the satisfaction, I'm happy you will live longer
