I'm actually a little in awe of the self-confidence it must take to bring a baby onto the quiet car.

(To be fair, right now, the baby is barely cooing, and there are adults being louder, but man, this is living life on the edge.)

Maybe it’s meant to trick the baby into being quiet. “For sure if I bring this baby into the quiet car, she/he will stop crying”
