And let me tell you Greenpoint has a LOT of places that want to sell you a $40 hunk of wax that smells vaguely like a tree if you lived in a city that was allowed to have trees, which you'd put on a shelf too guilty to light because surely a $40 candle is for special occasions

I have a rule: I have to finish my candles & incenses before I’m allowed to buy more. It forces me to burn my fancy candles, since otherwise I’d just lay atop them all like Smaug.
