No trains. No announcements of delays, either. Just a slowly filling platform as more and more people arrive with nowhere to go, and minutes ticking by, and the only real noise is everyone seething a little louder.

Actually DC’s Metro has been doing much better in the last few years I think?
My understanding is that they've just lowered expectations to the point that people stopped complaining
