My daughter wanted to work at her favorite store when she was in high school, so she volunteered to work at their annual sale. She got the job and worked there until she went to college.

Offering to work for free led to three paid jobs when I was younger. Maybe it doesn’t pay off for everybody but it was very beneficial to me.

it's not about whether it's beneficial. it's about making opportunities available to people who don't have rich parents to support them.
