This is literally the thing I recall most vividly about this movie
i was late to seeing it, so was maybe 18 or 19 when I first did, and I wonder if that helped it stick in my brain more than if i had seen it younger and not quite understood the euphamism?

fwiw my sisters stan hard for this movie & i missed it the first time bc i was living overseas, but when I did see it i was amazed that IT NEVER CAME UP

Age is a factor too, for sure. I didn’t get the euphemisms at all as a kid, and had a WHOLE different experience watching it through older eyes.
