    Interesting that there wasn't much of any lagging price increase on Binance following the Coinbase pump. Would've assumed that people would've bid up the price on the exchange trading lower.

    Even though coins such as ADA have posted decent ROIs since hitting ATLs, it’s useful to know when exactly they hit those low price levels. With these data points you can use XIRR to gauge the significance of ADA outperforming other ROIs since ATLs.

    A majority of coins with the largest distances to hit ATHs hit ATL marks in the last two quarters. They haven’t posted impressive ROIs from their low points and I’d probably not expect them to.

    This makes sense as traders bid up the price of an asset where it trades at a discount in an attempt to capture as much spread as they possibly can. The reason why the premium on VTC has persisted for this long though is bc of the same reasons Kimchi premium existed back in 2018

    Historically, asset prices on exchanges that trade at a discount tend to lag price momentum on the exchange that trades at a premium. This can be seen with the recent Coinbase ATOM spike that occurred recently, where it traded in a -16% to 8% range vs. Binance at -4% to 2%.

    Further proof that the Kimchi premium is not dead. VTC on Upbit has been trading 15% to 260% over Bittrex for the past month and a half. Interesting to note Upbit's volume dominance a few days ago and the correlative uptick in the price premium.

    Understanding what quote currency to use when putting on positions is critically important. Not only from an ROI perspective but also a risk/vol perspective. Even though ATOM has had higher historical vol and beta vs. USD than BTC, it's returned significantly better sharpe/ROI.

    As a founder looking for funding, initiating fundraising via a token distribution could be appealing to you as 1) you don’t have to dilute equity holdings and 2) if you/your company holds the underlying token and it accrues value, you effectively are able to extend your runway.

    Nowadays, as a user, if you could use stablecoins to settle value transfers on a smart contract platform/ecosystem, why would you use the volatile native cryptoasset?
