    DAILY LEGAL TIP: It is illegal to place wagers on a sporting event, including Super Bowl LIV, with bookies, offshore sportsbooks or acquaintances; it is legal to do so with government-regulated sportsbooks.

    DAILY LEGAL TIP: If you are involved in a traffic accident/physical injury in a store/accident at work, get medical attention; collect info (photos; witness names/contact info; & notes about site); exchange insurance info; contact police & insurance co; and consult with a lawyer.

    DAILY LEGAL TIP: Under federal law, a plan administrator of a health insurance plan is required to furnish employees a summary plan description within 90 days after he/she becomes a plan participant. A SPD is a guide to what benefits the plan provides and how the plan works.

    DAILY LEGAL TIP: Under ADA employers are required to make what is called a "reasonable accommodation" for employees with a known disability as long as it does not create an undue hardship for the employer. Ex: An employee with depression could be provided time-off for therapy.

    DAILY LEGAL TIP: If you were discriminated against by your employer, you have 180 days to file a charge with federal EEOC. The 180 day filing deadline is extended to 300 days if a state/local agency enforces a law that prohibits employment discrimination on the same basis.

    DAILY LEGAL TIP: If you are suffering from major depression, anxiety or other mental illness, your employer cannot discriminate against you under the ADA which prohibits disability discrimination in hiring, firing, advancement, compensation and job training of employees.
