Maybe someone should pout together a list of the "benefits" GoF research has brought to date, and see if they outweigh the risk. We keep getting told it's for preventing X or Y- but has it prevented anything?

Based on the last 18 months I don't think there's a single benefit on any list to ever exist that could possibly outweigh what's happened.
