  1. For your safety and the safety of others we encourage the public to stay home and off the roads if you can. Current snow/rain precipitation can cause roadways to become slick, especially on bridges, ramps and overpasses.

  15. I want to thank our elected officials who have been on the scene since the onset of the incident and who joined me today for the briefing. I also want to thank the Red Cross who have been invaluable partners providing and coordinating food and shelter for our displaced residents.

  16. Today, we visited the site of the 3 alarm fire on Virginia Avenue. Currently, we have 5 residents in the hospital with serious injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Our thoughts are prayers are with them and we hope for a speedy recovery for all.
