    For your safety and the safety of others we encourage the public to stay home and off the roads if you can. Current snow/rain precipitation can cause roadways to become slick, especially on bridges, ramps and overpasses.

    Senator Sarbanes was my type of politician, he was more focused on the people and the policy rather than the press conferences. Our sincere condolences go out to , Janet, Michael, and the rest of his family at this difficult time.

    Data time! Nearly 200 more buyers (+26%) purchased homes in Baltimore City last month than in Oct. 2019. With 941 multiple-listed homes purchased, Oct. became the most active month for residential real estate in 2020. Only 1 month since 2010 has seen more activity (June 2017).

    I want to thank our elected officials who have been on the scene since the onset of the incident and who joined me today for the briefing. I also want to thank the Red Cross who have been invaluable partners providing and coordinating food and shelter for our displaced residents.

    Today, we visited the site of the 3 alarm fire on Virginia Avenue. Currently, we have 5 residents in the hospital with serious injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Our thoughts are prayers are with them and we hope for a speedy recovery for all.

    This morning, the announced 2 arrests in the killing of Mr. Parks, a dedicated public servant. I want to sincerely thank the men and women of BPD for their hard work on this case and the swift apprehension of these suspects.

    Mr. Parks was a personal friend and will be remembered as a dedicated public servant and a true hero to the residents of Baltimore City. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May his memory be a blessing.
