    This is a powerful thread about power and framing and the choices made as stories get told.

    Does my name belong to me? My face? What about my life? My story? Why does my name refer to events I had no hand in? I return to these questions because others continue to profit off my name, face, & story without my consent. Most recently, the film . / a thread

    What are your favorite ways to remember to do things? I have used for years. Great To Do list. I now have a heavy reliance on Slackbot reminders as well. Also Boomerang, to bring gmail messages back to my inbox at specific times, so I remember to follow up.

    Oh, man. This is such a great case study. I admired the work at the time and am so happy to hear what it was like behind the scenes.

    During the historic winter storms in Texas earlier this year, , , and the rest of the audience team used Instagram to get vital information out to communities and listen to their needs.

    I'm so inspired by these mission metrics from crime coverage suggested by , as inspired by .

    Too often crime stories are "good" for newsrooms in that they increase pageviews, boost social media reach or fill news holes. But do those metrics align with your mission and values? Here's a helpful framework from to help you assess.

    Transparency is often seen as a strategy to increase trust in journalism-empirical evidence however often doesn’t show a clear connection. Using a different approach, we ask recipients how transparent they perceive journalism to be-and connect it to trust.

    I'm grateful for 's collaboration on our session, which laid the groundwork for this newsletter series.

    Very important to remember.

    We know newspaper “circulation” has plummeted. But has their reach? Possibly not. The @Pewcenter shows two sides of the story: dramatic drop in newspaper print circulation....
