You know, of course, that Halifax only includes building costs and not land, contingency funds, etc like Saskatoon’s estimate. You know this because people have told you many times but you continue to argue a deliberate falsehood. Is this the kind of mayor you would be?

Those of us who benefit from those privileges, both the obvious and less obvious advantages, must actively realize those privileges, challenge those systems and strive for increased equity in our world. 4/4

No one is denying you those. But what this post says is that, at a systemic and societal level, your race has never been the cause of those hardships (unlike the way race can be for many non-white peoples). 3/4

Them with advantages and privileges overall based upon their skin color. This is not to say that you have never had struggles in life. Maybe you had a rough upbringing, experienced loss or abuse, live in poverty. These are very real challenges. 2/4
