This is a bad blow to working families across NYC. Parents heard no public health expert call for closure & got no real notice. We need health informed decision-making not artificial triggers. It was too sudden. I would feel bad for the parents who suddenly have to change gear. Schools should stay open like in Europe and Bars and Restaurants should close

Because restaurant workers don't have a union and don't get paid unless they show up in person. The 3% closure metric came from UFT, not DOH.
