    It's worth remembering that the reason the vote counting is taking so long is that in many of these states the Republicans blocked laws that would have allowed the counting to start earlier

    Gen Z and millennials make up 40% of today’s electorate. 15 million young people have turned 18 since the last Presidential election. Today, 6.8 million more young people have a history of voting than did in 2016, in part because of turnout in the 2018 midterms.

    Young voters in Texas have officially surpassed the total amount of votes cast by young people in 2016! And we still have a whole day of voting left! Feeling so incredibly proud of all the hard work organizers have put into this election during a pandemic! 1 more day!

    NEW EARLY YOUTH VOTE DATA: Our final look at early and absentee voting by youth reveals that close to 10 million young people have already voted, including 1 million in FL and 1.36 million in TX—which is higher than *total* youth votes in TX in 2016.

    The huge surge in youth voters in TX (+600% from 2016) can be credited to activists like who fight for her generation to have access to the polls. Democracy depends on all American voices, including youth who can also be gainfully employed and pay taxes.

    A lot of student/voters have asked this question so.. I don't know who needs to hear this but if you registered on or near the deadline (Oct. 5th) but if you got a registration certificate that says an effective date of November 4/5 -- YOU CAN (and should) VOTE ON ELECTION DAY.
