Powerful words from lifelong Democrat & Progressive Michael Shellenberger. TLDR: He's supporting the recall and suggests voting for former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer.https://twitter.com/ShellenbergerMD/status/1430197697399508995 …

Local mess vs regional. While I agree with the BOE and DA recalls I don’t feel the same re: Gavin. Plus the other candidates are a larger disaster waiting to happen. In a pandemic & R. Party is still in denial. Gavin has to improve but he is still the best option on the ballot

I initially felt that way. But then you think about the fact that
@GavinNewsom appointed@GeorgeGascon to DA in SF. He sent his deputy chief to be George’s chief. He then endorsed George when George ran for@LADAOffice. He funded@prosalliance created by@CristineDeBerry said2 replies 0 retweets 5 likes -
former deputy chief of staff. Organization was also founded by
@chesaboudin@SFDAOffice. He appointed@AGRobBonta who is also part of@prosalliance. The recall of the DAs is linked to the recall of Gavin Newsom. It just is.2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -

Yeah. That troubles me. The Gascon thing is a major thorn & screwed me personally. But I’m not ready to vote to let a podcast host run CA. In 2 years I’ll debate re-election but I’m ok to give him a chance to finish his term. We need pragmatic & I’m not seeing any in this recall

Ain’t Politics grand?
So many think they have the answers and so few actually do. Way too much grasping at straws & looking for easy &fast solutions vs. study, planning & pragmatism. Ideologues in silos don’t make good policy for all. Egos over egalitarianism…
Sigh.
