Been thinking a lot about what comes after “free software” & “open source.” Both terms were coined when the tech industry (& the world) was a very different place. I think we’ve outgrown them.

Thinking about this in context with Seth Vargo, maybe it's time to work on HTTP client error code 402: Payment Required. It was anticipated in the first versions of the HTTP spec, and is still reserved for use: https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-http-v10-spec-01 …
