It feels like the more we know about mC diversity, the least we understand it, but at least some general principles seem to stand. Nice to see that the centipede Strigamia is really the outlier within arthropods and not the ancestral state.
Examination of DNA methylation across arthropods from @PSarkies . Some interesting findings: 1) more nuanced view of DNMT and ALK enzyme co-evolution 2)conservation of nucleosome positioning and DNAme 3) Body methylation = still confusing.
