there are already a number of services that analyze wifi traffic (passively, even if people don't connect to the network) to make guesses about who is visiting a store, where they spend the most time in the store, etc.

but if surveillance cameras were all being sent to fb for analysis en masse, it would quickly become the largest centralized source for passively tracking millions of people in realtime as they go about their day. imagine a facebook partnership w starbucks or walmart..
