    Those are some lickable buttons! 😋

    A software mockup of a music player. The user interface is a pale purple, with dark purple accents. Buttons are beveled and shiny, sometimes glowing. There is a rich style to the UI elements, with drop shadows, inner glows, bevels, and gradients. On the top, previous, play/pause, and next buttons. Then, shuffle and repeat buttons. The shuffle button is activated, with an orange glow. Next, the LCD showing the now-playing track, “Mr. Blue Sky” by the Electric Light Orchestra. A progress bar shows about a quarter complete. AirPlay icon with text indicating the speaker name “Junior.” Next, volume up and down buttons. Finally, a search field.     Been looking for an office in Stockholm for some time, need to rent a desk. Turns out I’m super picky and put off by offices that look like… well, offices.

    🏎 Ulysses clean build on M1 Max: ~65s. 🚀 Same but with Dropbox app NOT running: ~55s. Quitting Dropbox saves 10s or ~15% for me! Reproduced multiple times. WTF 🤯 Anybody else seeing this?

    The whole “Menu Bar vs Notch vs Menu Items”-thing is exaggerated. There has always been a risk of items colliding for apps that overuse the menu bar. This is Cinema 4D on my 16” MBP (2019) at native 2x retina. Solution? Hook up an external display or use a scaled resolution.

    It was inevitable! Personally I think I may use this when working with an app full size, such as Sketch (but not in full screen). For casual use I prefer the look of the standard menu bar.
