The researcher is asking for the metal tag by holding out her hand. Would the parrot also give the metal tag to the other one if the researcher didn't do this?

Has anyone tried to ask the first parrot for the metal tag and check whether he/she still shares it with its partner? The Loro Parque parrots are trained to amuse people. They can ride a bike and it doesn't mean they know what they're doing. It all seems a circus trick to me...
