Best thing they could do in BFA is make tanking an attractive option to a talented player. Instead they are making it more brainless, thus furthering the problem.

Which is making it harder for me to want to continue playing after many years, because it's the role that keeps me around honestly. :(
Around MOP/WOD you wanted at least one of your tanks to be among the best players in your guild. As time goes by I think the right decision may be having those players DPS and get by with whatever tanks you can. Speaking of high end progression of course.
