.@WatcherDev 's interviews are always good but that reasoning for no master loot is like top 2 worst arguments against it. Guilds that dont make you trade your tradable PL right now clearly wont swap to master loot. It's a choice.
its not some tyrannical thing. No master loot places bad items on people they would never use and they CAN'T TRADE IT. That is so, so much worse than the 1 guild out of 50 that has some geek loot master

I am in a Normal/Heroic guild and I absolutely hate not being able to gear my friends.
Blizz not trusting the player to be able to make the choice to stay in a guild that uses master loot or look elsewhere says a lot of how they view the average player, as some infant that has to be coddled.
Because past history has proven it to be the case
And like in that scenario the player can just leave their guild if the GM is oppressive... if everyone left the guild then the GM would have to change their loot rules, otherwise they’ll never get to raid.
I have been in about 7-8 guilds and started my own back in legion with my friends, this geek master looter scenario has never happened to me and if there ever was a problem with loot it was quickly resolved, maybe 10-15 pieces ever went to the wrong person.. I’m a cata baby
Right now with reduced loot it also feels so fucking bad to kill a boss and see no items. I did 30+ timed M+, normal clear and 1 HC boss and was still 180 ilvl. With ML I would see that we did get loot and I would be hyped up for rolls/loot council to do their job etc
