idk, I think it is doing exactly what it was meant for. It's not really outdated, it's just evil. It never was meant to benefit musicians or listeners... It was meant to stop people from using music without paying music companies extra money. And that's what it's doing.

The music industry doesn’t pursue these claims for the benefit of artists at the end of the day it’s plain to see it benefits the companies involved financially to chase down YouTube twitch and the like whilst it’s ok for Spotify to pay fractions of a cent to artists.
