I doubt it's even in Blizzard's power to do so at this point.

If they do they'll lose people. If they don't and they release a broken game, they'll lose even more people. The communication from them is terrible.

They won’t lose anyone lol. 1st Doscord post “Hey guys just want to say it’s been so awesome all these years but I’m going to call it a career in wow. To much bullshit. Broken game. Best of luck!!!” Raid launches. 2nd Post “Hey guys I’m back!!! Y’all need heals?!

We can only wish. At this point just give us the game and fix it in 9.3 or delay it. No matter what, people are going to celebrate/riot whatever their choice is.

They are legendarily stubborn. A date has been set. They'll never move it. Even if it's in their own best interest to do so.

lol if you really think its the dev that can make the call. This is way past people that even probably play the game that would make the call.
