That being said a cool mode in wow would be what FF14 has. Allow guilds to queue pre nerf nzoth with the gear we had for a challenge to see if they can kill it or how quickly.

Guilds still take hundreds of attempts on nzoth months later when the boss is 17 mannable. I think blizzard did a good job of designing that boss to have lasting difficulty. Very few bosses stand up like that after this many nerfs.

And before anyone makes the bad argument of echoing void making our/methods boss easier. It was ~5% of our overall raid damage. Next week they nerfed the boss by 5% health, however you could equip your next best corruption. The boss was significantly harder that week.

you can only measure this with expansion end bosses as the item level jumps with each raid are too obscene. I think every recent expansion end boss was similar, none of them started to fall over. azshara is probably much worse even.

My guild is currently 70 or so pulls in, the challenge for us is simply obtaining the muscle memory to execute the fight. It has nothing to do with overall difficulty imo. It’s just a long fight with many different “dances” to learn. Even with the videos and tools available.

We are on 220 attempts. Best was 14%. We also raid 3hrs a week so just getting to CE (even if the final week) is huge for us. We’ve nearly spent as much time in 10 weeks are you guys did in 2-3 days

The fights only hard cause it’s so long and in the majority of guilds there’s 3-5 people in the Raid if not more that put in enough effort to not get replaced but just chill waiting for loot, I don’t think a lot of guilds on nzoth at this point have 20 players full focused 2 kill

God I wish my guild had 15 people focused and trying lmao. Half my raid team should have never left heroic.
