Youth hockey players aren't allowed to fight. You get a game misconduct and a minimum one game suspension all the way up through college. Unless you're playing junior hockey which is entirely different. Also the Maple Leafs fan base is very unhappy with their teams performance.
played hockey my whole life we were fighting on the ice, in the locker room if there were problems. I'm sure its enforced most places, but I assure you not all.

Also in regards to the locker room. Helmet boxing was a regular thing growing up. So you got me there. That happened every single practice and as a very small and very skinny dude at the time I hated it. Don't think I ever won. So you're right lol.

It's incredibly more strick now. Even a hit to the head can get you banned from playing, fighting is definitely not allowed on the ice.
