Literally all it is. For some it's easier to cut out certain food groups. But you can literally eat whatever you want as long as you get your body to a deficit

not only, if you want to lose weight properly you've to be careful to the macronutrients. My diet calculates macro nutrients and gives 0 fucks about calories

Most people are too lazy/not willing to lose weight via caloric deficit, so they go around looking for “quick” and “easy” ways to lose weight, then never end up losing any weight
