think the most "extensive" statement on it was that there are enough new things in place for players to get used to when the expansion drops that tiersets aren't something they want to have in the mix.

I think Ion may have stated that it wasn’t planned until “later on” in Shadowlands, so probably 9.2 or 9.3. Nothing more specific than that.

Tbh is be fine with zonespecific powerincreases doesn't have to be class specific gearsets. I do however want some bloody variety through the raidtiers on how my class plays

they said that currently they dont gave any plans to bring them back, at 9.0 at least.
