I think Guardians class design should lean on shapeshifting when not tanking. Make them the best tank ST in cat form and the best tank raid healing when not tanking. This leans in to their design aspects of shifting form and makes them have a niche that is useful.
Currently other tanks are stronger, have more raid utility, multiple classes bring roar and they have no place unless they are the strongest tank by 10-15% at the highest level @WarcraftDevs
I've never considered it but I am on board with this opinion. If they want them to be an easy to master tank and are going to keep them the way they are in bear form, their skill ceiling and skill expression should come from their utility when OTing. I like this idea a lot.
That.. is actually a damn good idea. I feel like a change that significant might be too late for the class design folks? Could be wrong about that.
I love this idea. I hope they listen to this because right now it seems like they really don't know what they want to do with us Bears. But question is - do you think they would need to change anything for 5 mans or just fix threat/damage for that really?
Also, give us Innervate castable in bear form and give it to ferals too since they took Roar and gave it to all specs.
This is more or less how they handle in Torghast (RNG may vary), and it transforms them from being a pretty boring/sub-standard tank into an incredibly fun, powerful, versatile shapeshift-apalooza.
