every expansion since MoP tanks have felt slightly worse to play as far as your ability to control your survival and just overall fun. So far in shadowlands at least for BRM BDK Pally and VDH it is a noticable design buff for tanks. War/druid still trash though (design wise)

You really think that’s true for legion? Come on. And to say warrior is “still trash” would imply they’re currently designed like trash when they have significant control over mitigation and damage taken.
they have the least control of mitigation and damage taken of ALL tanks currently IMO and are you implying tanking didn't get worse in legion than it was in WoD? it was noticeably worse

Tanks. Plural. You have a very significant voice in the community and devs can and should listen to you. You need to be specific with classes, talents, abilities and issues. When you make this massive broad statement that isn’t entirely accurate it helps nothing at all.

Also I think maybe you’re leaning towards spell damage mitigation but warriors have amazing physical damage mitigation that they have amazing control over. I think blizz would argue that warriors are intentionally designed to not have amazing magic mitigation
