I got a DMCA strike for "cake by the ocean" a song on 0 of my playlists. Was playing on a clip I clicked on. clipception. I listen to a ton of copyright music though so for sure had it coming, just think the system needs to be modernized for sure.

man the amount of viewers that talk about the music on a stream is actually huge. crazy that the artists are gonna lose all this publicity. don't see it being a positive for them either. sucks.

100% I know I’ve found 100s of songs through streams that I now listen on the regular that I wouldn’t have listened to before.

I guess Twitch should just use their technology to auto mute clips with copyrighted music. Alternatively people could stop streaming such music in general.

Noting clips wont be enough. They are actively DMCA striking live as well.

Unfortunately that is modernized. It's not really twitch at fault here, it's the law itself, and the people making claims. For now, screen for music in clips like you would porn before playing it on steam, and remind American viewers to contact their representatives.
