Think it’s a symptom of guilds that don’t trust their guilds ability to survive the farm period for whatever reasons.
Reserving the first mount at the end of a raid for the gm, officer, or anyone other than free roll is outdated and super weird.

Our Raid Lead and officers made a list of 27 players, writing down who gets it first, second, third, etc. Noone knew their position on that list, it was supposed to be a secret. They told us about the list when we killed Mekkatorque. I was done with BFA at that point.

Question how do they force the person to trade the mount? I haven't been in a guild especially in classic wow because guilds claim to reserve loot or just "auction" items off so the guild or raid lead gets the gold for free
