Choosing between covenant abilities that are powerful and situational is an awesome goal, but I hope @WarcraftDevs is very careful to avoid incentivizing us to make 4 characters of the same class in order to have access to all the abilities.

I think people just need to come to terms that tiny losses in power level are acceptable when they give you something intangible. There's always going to be an optimal build, we need to accept that sometimes we won't be as powerful as we theoretically could be.
