It’s borderline impossible to find good ones since they ruined tank playstyle. The only reason darkee or I tank is because it is required, you cannot recruit good players that want to tank. It’s just that every career tank is bad I have a twitch highlight that kinda further explains my thoughts on why tanks arnt good at a deeper level. Little dated but here https://www.twitch.tv/videos/363255542 … obviously a little hyperbole and not spoken well but that’s generally it.
Also both darkee and I would say that tanking is very rewarding in the first few weeks of a new raid because there is so much multiclassing(usually) and optimization but after that becomes very bland where as a dps you can always push yourself

For us: over 4 years trying to recruit a tank. Has never worked out. Any tank we've ever had came from a DPS re-rolling to Tank. This expan things became worse. Tanks have less player agency than ever before. Thus even fewer enjoy the role.
Tanking is a bit harder to straight up gauge without playing with the tank in question. So, the base metrics are always in place: you want decent damage, survivability, healing. Important things to also have are consistent movement, proper facing, and good cd management

I think this is a catch 22. Make tanking too much fun and nobody wants to dps or heal. Don’t change it and tanks are scarce. Personally I enjoy being able to join a group quickly because I play all roles, but I’m often forced to tank.
