Its like saying "Christopher Columbus was a total noob, he needed 2 months to reach America from Europe. I can do it now in 8 hours". It was different time with different obstacles.

I've always said this. Vanilla leveling experience was awful. The raid encounters were simplistic. The most challenging part was getting 40 people together at X time. BC on the other hand (or even mop for that matter) I'd play again in a second.

The game felt challenging at the time because overall skill level was lower and the game wasn't so solved. Stuff like the power of + weapon skill wasn't fully understood for a long, long time. Throw in needing 40 people and bad internet/pcs and you see what the difficulty was

Honestly the only thing I miss about Vanilla WoW is the sense of wonder. That's not coming back lol
