These tweets give a taste of the antipathy that some long-time SF residents have for newcomers. A lot of this is caused by stress and anger over high rent. You don't see much of this anger in NYC.pic.twitter.com/8P3SxFjPNv

It’s a really jarring experience to be told by friends: “i hate tech, i hate people who work in tech, i hate what it’s done to the city”. Then I remind them I work in tech. “Oh, well not you, of course”
Also they all use the tech products extensively, both for self-promotion and...complaining about how tech js terrible.
I’ve had conversations where people lament the homeless crisis while also complaining about building new housing, all in the same breath. It’s just such a disconnect.
They value their anger over improving the lives of all San Franciscans. They are the majority in SF. It’s time to leave.
I don’t think they’re necessarily the majority, but they do seem to be the people who have the leisure time turn up at city meetings and rant until they get their way.
They’re enough of a plurality to get people like @chesaboudin and @MattHaneySF elected. @LondonBreed is barely reasonable and they treat her as worse than trump. The next mayor will be chesa or someone of his ilk.
