Wow: The U.S. Attorney for D.C. has indicted a former D.C. tax official for allegedly accepting more than $85,000 in bribes from 2013-17 to make outstanding tax liabilities owned by three D.C. club owners disappear. (Cont.)
The club owners also indicted for allegedly paying bribes include Andre De Moya (Eden Lounge, Cafe Asia, Echostage), Chao Charles Zhou (Muse, Umaya) and Arman Amirshani (Ultrabar, Barcode). They were allegedly aided by former @dcra employee Anthony Merritt.
Correction: Those charged include Vincent Slater, the former D.C. tax official; Anthony Merritt, the former DCRA official; and De Moya. Zhou and Amirshani were not charged, but named in the indictment.
