If you recall, 2 weeks ago @ChmnMendelson inserted two provisions into a budget bill that would have curtailed some of D.C.'s open-government laws. And an interesting tidbit from all the FOIA requests received by the Council this year:

But back to the FOIA request Mendelson's office received, it could have been rejected outright had his FOIA changes stayed in the budget and were approved. He wants requesters to describe "with particularity" what they are seeking, which could mean specific terms, dates, etc.
