Obviously it’s a free country and everybody gets to say whatever they want, but it would be nice to see some awareness of the changed media environment that we now live in. There’s no need to kill a mosquito with a hand grenade, if you get my meaning.

I’m fortunate to work for a magazine/group of websites that has lawyers, publicists, editors, etc., and that will stick up for writers who dared to anger powerful individuals. But a lot of writers are not that fortunate. They are out in the wind. Exposed.
