No better sign of the real divide in American politics today than a weekend long freakout defending the honor of PhD-havers.

I was going to caveat this with “yes, sure, some PhDs can be annoying” but forget that. It’s a title usually earned through enormous and largely thankless hard work and lots of sacrifice. Let people use the title if they earned it, and give them some respect.

Right — it was about sexism, but also it was about the author disrespecting the PhD as a credential.https://twitter.com/magi_jay/status/1338155894627045378 …

Come on, Matty. It was about sexism. As well as the author's scorn for the field of education, community colleges, etc.

That's exactly, but exactly what it was. Some wokesters tried to make it about "mysogyny" (a word almost as devoid of meaning as "racism"), but yes, it was mainly about the anxities of the "mass upper class".

No better sign of the real divide in American politics today than a weekend long freakout ABOUT ENTITLED MISOGYNISTS WHO DISMISS WOMEN'S ACHIEVEMENTS. (There. I fixed it for you.)
