Riskpulse, the company I co-founded in 2007 and took over my life for more than a decade, has been acquired. Thank you, team. You are extraordinary.

  2. The dev experience on this is better than Stripe and on par with Twilio.

The Summit logo would look great on one of these.

has the right idea (if I understand it). Raise without giving up ownership. Sell different risk levels and mix tranches of subscribers into a purchasable investment is huge. This can bring funding to those who have no intention of being a uni.

Never teach the rules. Define winning, explain how you make progress, then enforce the rules as you play. True in games and business.

I feel like I'm onto something very big at the right time with the right resources. In other words, the Universe has made a mistake, and I plan to exploit it.

I know an app that will help with this.

What if, before you invested in doing something, you stopped and asked what impact you expected it to have, and ran a business model unit test?

Indexing and aggregation would still be a useful value-add.

In this world, investors look more and more like MorganStanley stock brokers bragging about their picking ability, which some LP's, happy to look at data, might elect to bypass?

If founders start selling baskets of assets that may grow, shrink, or cancel, they start to look a lot like fund managers, eh?

Annual contracts are cool, but what if you could bundle and sell cohorts of your subscriptions for their risk-adjusted lifetime value? HT

Great to see that I already have the seasonal work patterns of an investor.

What good is a cohort/segment-level median LTV? Well, it might, for example, help us assign a value to SaaS businesses much more fairly (and efficiently).

OK, not exactly. Median survival days / 30 x ARPU x # customers = aggregate cohort median LTV. :)

Now this begs the question: how will this curve change if I segment my customer base?! By price, by signup date, etc. And how are those shifting over time??! *mad scientist laugh & lightning*

Et voilá! Productized survival curves based on billing data, along with Median Survival in Days. Median Survival (Days) x ARPU = Median LTV of this cohort.
