The Laura Ingraham situation shows why you should be very careful about apologizing to the Left. Even if you were wrong. Their demands for an apology are insincere. They demand the apology because they want you to submit to them, not because they want to forgive.

I didn’t know “the Left” was a single creature that demanded an apology. Does it look like Mothra from Godzilla films?

And yes, always a good thing for “the right” to demonstrate their principles and indicate apologies are not something they should do. Big surprise Trump acts the way he does (or maybe he is encouraging this impulse in “the right”, who I imagine looks like Ultraman)

She gave a lame, insincere apology and he refused to accept it. She used he platform to attack a high school kid and deserves what she got.

She did apologize for offending them. They chose to not accept it & then demand terms of forgiveness. Its her prerogative to decide if she wants their forgiveness and to accept their terms. It seems she doesn't. Time for each to move on.

....whenever someone says this is the reason Trump always doubles down, they get accused of being a brainwashed idiot. You're 100% correct, by the way.

She didn’t actually apologize though. A true apology is contrite. One must believe that the person apologizing will work to never commit the offense again. Her non-apology was “I’m sorry I offended,” and should have been “I was wrong to say what I said, and I am truly sorry.”
